BAJAUR:Deputy Commissioner Usman Mehsud has started crackdown against encroachment and hoarding of flour and sugar in Khar, headquarter of Bajaur tribal district issued strict warning to several shopkeepers.
The Deputy Commissioner along with Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Ilyas conducted surprise visit to Khar bazaar to personally supervise crackdown against encroachment, hoarders of sugar and flour.
Shades in front of shops and goods on footpaths were removed. The DC said zero tolerance has been adopted against encroachment and strict action would be taken against the violators.
The DC also checked flour and sugar stocks in the bazaar and reiterated that sufficient stock of the commodities were available to cater people’s requirements.
He said hoarding and price-hike of flour and sugar would not be accepted and strict action would be taken against shopkeepers involved in artificial price hike.
