Flour mills, chakis directed to ensure sale of ‘Atta’ as per govt rate

HYDERABAD:The Focal Person for prevention of coronavirus in Hyderabad, MPA Sharjeel Inam Memon has directed Flour Mills and Atta Chaki Associations to ensure sale of wheat flour at the rate fixed by government during lockdown.

He said this while presiding over a meeting of the representatives of Flour Mills and Atta Chaki Associations here at Shahbaz Hall on Monday.

Sharjeel Memon directed the Senior Superintendent of Police and the officers of concerned law enforcement agencies to take steps for ensuring uninterrupted supply of essential items and medicines in the market during lockdown as flour, edible items and medicines were essential for all citizens irrespective of their status.

The representatives of flour mills and atta chaki associations also assured their full cooperation in providing wheat flour at governmetn rate.

The Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Abro, Senior Superintendent of Police Adeel Hussain Chandio, Additional Deputy Commissioner Liaquat Ali Kalhoro and others were also attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, MPA Sharjeel Inam Memon also visited divisional complaint center established at Commissioner office, Shahbaz Building, regarding coronavirus threat.

The Additional Commissioner Sayed Sajjad Haider Shah briefed the focal person about working of the complaint center.

On the occasion, MPA Sharjeel Inam Memon directed all employees to ensure strict implementation over health advisory issued by Sindh Health department.
