ISLAMABAD: Faculty Development Academy (FDA), a training wing of COMSATS Institute for Information Technology (CIIT) organized a three-day workshop on ‘Testing & Evaluation’ at CIIT Attock Campus.
The workshop was totally sponsored by ‘Learning Innovation Division’ of Higher Education Commission, a news release said on Monday.
There were 09 sessions in all, each of 90 minutes duration. Twenty three faculty members with a diverse background attended the workshop.
Dr Saeed ul Hassan Chishti and Kashif Sohail Malik acted as Resource Persons.Khursheed Yusuf, Director FDA welcomed the participants and delineated the themes.
The workshop sessions covered the differences between test, assessment and evaluation, Bloom Taxonomy, types and benchmarks of a good test along with skill set required for developing a valid and reliable test.
Table of specification and scoring schemes were also discussed besides classroom exercises. At the end closing ceremony was held.
Two persons from the group presented their views about the quality of the workshop. They were all very satisfied with the course contents and delivery of the resource persons.
Fida Hussain, DG Learning Innovation Division (HEC) was the Chief Guest. He addressed the audience, appreciated FDA, CIIT Attock management and the participants for their passion for new learning and a resolve for becoming life-long learners.
He distributed certificates among the participants. Khursheed Yusuf thanked LID for sponsoring the workshop, appreciated Fida Hussain for gracing the occasion and encouraging the participants. He also presented him a shield as a token of appreciation.
