71 % outstanding claims of PSO settled: Senate told

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Petroleum Jam Kamal on Thursday apprised the Senate that 71 per cent of outstanding claims of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) against various suppliers pertaining to the period up to fiscal year 2016 has been settled.

Replying to a question during Question Hour, the minister said it was not true that the salary package of MD, PSO was to be ratified by the Board of Management and the same was not done.

As a matter of fact, the ratification of the salary package was to be done by the Board of Management / Directors which was duly ratified, he added.

To another question, he said a total 111 discoveries have been made during last five years.
