Accountability court to take up reference against Dar on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) of Islamabad would hear a reference on October 4, against Finance Minister Ishad Dar regarding assets beyond known resources of income.

During last hearing, the court had indicted Mr. Dar in a reference filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in compliance of Supreme Court orders in Panama papers case.

However, the Finance Minister denied the charges before court. On which, the court had summoned two witnesses, bank officers from Lahore, to testify on Wednesday.

The NAB had presented a list of total 28 witnesses in the reference during last hearing against Ishaq Dar.

Earlier, the court had already provided copies of reference to accused comprising 23 volumes.

The reference against Dar was filed by NAB on September 8, regarding assets beyond known sources of income following the apex court directives.
