ISLAMABAD:The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has asked the interested people to submit their applications for participating in the annual Urs of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chisht Ajmiri.
According to the ministry, the annual Urs is scheduled to be held in Ajmer Sharif (India) from March 19 to 29, 2017.
October 12, 2017 has been fixed as last date for submission of the applications, giving ample time for security clearance and completing other formalities.
The applicants must attach a non-refundable bank draft of Rs 1000 alongwith the application.
As many as 500 selected Pakistani pilgrims were allowed to attend the Urs and if the number of applications exceeded the required quota, a draw would be held on November 03 for choosing the successful applicants.
The fee can also be deposited online in account number 18499-3 of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, National Bank of Pakistan, Main Branch, Civic Centre (0341), Islamabad. The original payment receipt must be attached with the application, photocopy would not be accepted.
The application forms can be downloaded from the website of the ministry www.hajjinfo.org or www.mora.gov.pk
Each successful applicant would be informed within a month after the balloting.
Original passport and traveling documents are required to be submitted three months prior to the departure. Indian Embassy does not accept the passports for stamping visa, if their expiry date is less than eight months from the Urs.
Such applicants must renew their passports at the earliest to avoid rejection of visa.
