ISLAMABAD: Yaum-e-Ashur, the tenth of Moharram, will be observed across the country on Sunday with due solemnity to pay homage to the supreme sacrifices rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain Razi Allah ho Ta’ala Anho and his companions in Karbala.
Alam, Zuljinah and Taazia processions will be taken out in all the cities and towns of the country.
Ulema and Zakireen will highlight the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain and various aspects of Karbla tragedy.
Strict security measures have been made along the routes of processions to avoid any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, stern security arrangements were ensured across the country on the occasion of 9th Muharram Saturday.
Heavy contingents of police, Rangers and Elite force have been deployed in the sensitive areas countrywide to avoid any untoward situation whereas aerial surveillance is also carrying out.
Command and Control Centers have also been established to monitor the processions while CCTV cameras will also be used.
Interior ministry has suspended mobile phone service via Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on the request of provincial government. Cellular service remained suspended from 8am to 12am.
