Capital police for foolproof security arrangements for Christian community

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have been directed to ensure foolproof security arrangements for Christian community and its worship places in federal capital.

SSP (Operations) Islamabad Sajid Kiani Saturday held meeting with representatives of Saint Thomsis Church G-7 and Khatoon Fatma Church F-8. SP city Sheikh Zubair Ahmed, SDPO, SHO, Christian community representatives Revrent Emanole, Reverent Khurram Shahzad, Father F-8 church Asif, Manzor Masih, Lal Janbaz, Cristopher Smith, Shams Gil, Bashir Marshal, Shahbaz Sadi, Tasneem Akhter, Doctor Ilyas and others were also present during the meeting.

Addressing the participants, SSP Sajid Kiani said Islamabad police were taking all kind of measures to provide security to the Christian community and its prayer places. The police would continue to provide protection to various religious ceremonies of the minority group, he said.

He said the objective of the meeting was to realize the Christian community of Islamabad that was always available for their security.

The city police, he said, was providing security to all small and big churches in Islamabad. He said the private security persons deputed at churches should be make trained to face any untoward incident and keeping eyes on suspect activities around.

SSP asked the representatives of churches to arrange lectures during religious gatherings regarding the bad impact of drug addition. He said the Christian community has been cooperating with police and hoped that it would continue this to curb crime in the city.

During the meeting, the Christian community thanked the SSP for hearing their problems and ensure to provide security to their worship places.
