ISLAMABAD: The Chief Executive Officer of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Basit Zaman Ahmed has directed the officials concerned to provide new connections to the consumers in minimum time.
Chairing the monthly performance review meeting of all Operations Circles here Wednesday, the CEO said delay in new connection would not be tolerated as meters for new connections up to August had already been provided to all SDO’s. He warned that strict action would be taken if any complaint received against any SDO regarding delay in new connection.
SEO’s and XEN’s briefed the CEO about the progress of their respective Circles and Divisions regarding recovery from running and dead defaulters, line losses, electricity theft, accuracy of mobile meter reading and Roshni SMS service.
The IESCO Chief said special task forces regarding recovery from running and dead defaulters might be constituted and connections of defaulters be disconnected without any discrimination.
He said that owing to mobile meter reading wrong reading cases have almost finished.
The IESCO Chief said that safety of line staff was also our top priority.
He directed all stores managers to provide necessary safety materials to field staff and if any line staff found working without safety items/measure, strict actions would be taken against him.
He said more customers care centers were being established to provide all services under single roof.
He also directed all SDO’s and XEN’s to take care of customer’s and manage all complaints regarding electricity failure may handle without any delay.
In the end, Chief executive IESCO gave targets for the month of September-2017.
