ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Standing Committee on Communication on Tuesday was briefed that most of the projects of communication were under completion in Baluchistan.
The body was told that in near future many new projects to link Baluchistan with other provinces would also be initiated.
The committee meeting was held here under that Chairmanship of Mohammad Muzamal Qureshi while it was attended by Minister of State Dr Darshan, Nazir Ajmad Bhugio, MNA Ramesh Lal, MNA Salim Rahman, MNA Engr Himd ul Haq Khalil, MNA Sanjay Parwani, MNA Sahibzada Tariq Ullah, MNA Nasima Hafeez Panzai, MNA Engr Usman Khan Tarkai, MNA Shah Jehan Munir Mangrio, MNA Hafiz Abdul Karim, Federal Minister for Communication, Chairman NHA, Additional Secretary Communication and other officials.
It was also told the body that Baluchistan area Khizdar was being linked with Sakkur directly through a road. The lingering projects of Baluchistan were also being initiated. The Body directed the Communication department to expand the road which linked Liari Express way and M-9.
The committee was informed that Phase-1 of Karachi Green Line project would be completed by November 2017 while Phase-II would be completed by April 2018.
As many as 800 trees have been planted while 18000 would also planted besides the road where Green Line project has been initiated, the Committee was informed.
