Court starts proceeding to seize property of Imran, Qadri

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Friday moved to seize properties belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri after the two repeatedly failed to appear in hearings of the Asmatullah Junejo case.

ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjmand heard the case and the court ordered to produce the record of property of both accused and moved to seize their property.

Dr. Naseer and Dr. Tanvir told the court that Senior Superintendent of Police Islamabad Asmat Ullah Junejo was shifted to hospital with injuries on his body and hand.

It was to mention that SSP Asmatullah Junejo was beaten up by protesters on Constitution Avenue on September 1, 2014 during the sit-ins, on his first day on job as SSP Operations of ICT Police.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing till October 6, 2017.
