ECP directs SSP Islamabad to arrest Imran Khan, produce before it on Oct 26

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Islamabad to arrest PTI Chairman Imran Khan Niazi and produce him before it on October 26.

According to an ECP statement issued here Tuesday, the Commission ordered issuance of warrant of arrest against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman as he had failed to appear before the Commission during various hearings.

Imran Khan Niazi, resident of Khan House, Banni gala, Mohra Noor, Islamabad and central office, PTI, first floor, 72-East, Fortune Plaza, Jinnah Avenue, Blue Area, Islamabad is charged with contempt of court of ECP under Section 103-A of the Representation of the People Act, 1976, the order said.
