Free ambulance services being launched at four BHUs

RAJANPUR: The Punjab government is taking steps to ensure free medical facilities and an ambulance service for pregnant women and newly-born babies across the district.

This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Altaf Baloch while addressing a ceremony in which he handed over keys of ambulances to the administration of basic health centres (BHU), here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, In-charge Integrated Reproductive Maternal Newborn, Child Health (IRMNCH) and Nutrition Program Dr Jam Khalil Ahmed said that ambulances were being provided to basic health units (BHUs) at Umer Kot, Harind, Mohraywala and Shikarpur.

Chief Executive Officer Health Dr Abdullah Jalbani, District Health Officer Dr Hashim Ali, Medical Superintendent District Headquarters Hospital Rajanpur Dr Mohabat Ali and other officers concerned were present.
