ISLAMABAD: The delegation headed by CEO, M/s Ghandhara Nissan Limited Ahmed Kuli Khan Khattak on Tuesday visited the Board of Investment (BOI) and met with Secretary BOI Azher Ali Choudhry.
Ahmed Kuli Khan informed the Secretary, BOI that M/s. Ghandhara Nissan Limited was incorporated on August 8, 1981 in Pakistan as a Private Limited Company and subsequently converted into public limited company on May 24, 1992.
The production of vehicles started in December, 1996 however, the company car assembly plant remained in active or non-operational since 2010.
The company gave a detailed presentation to the Secretary, BOI on their Datsun Car manufacturing project in Pakistan with investment of PKR 4.5 billion in the first four years of its operation. This project will create 1,810 job opportunities in Pakistan.
M/s Ghandhara Nissan Limited has now decided to come in Auto Market with technical assistance by Nissan Motor Co; and provision of auto parts in capacity of foreign principal to the project.
Nissan currently manufactures vehicles in 20 countries around the world, including Japan.
The Secretary welcomed the delegation and highlighted the investment policy and incentives available in Pakistan.
He thanked Ahmed Kuli Khan Khattak and his delegation to boost investment in Pakistan. He said that BOI being the apex body of the government of Pakistan for investment promotion and facilitation to foreign investors assured them full support as and when needed.
