ISLAMABAD: Free delivery service of home-cooked food is gaining popularity in the federal capital as the residents can get healthy meals at their doorsteps on just a phone call.
Talking to reporter, owner of an online food supply service namely Family Kitchen, Maliha Sabri said people were concerned about hygienic and clean food; therefore trend for using home-cooked meals was becoming popular. “We have a group of best cooks from passionate families who want to serve the citizens of Islamabad through their tasty meals,” she added.
She said this business was also empowering women by availing an opportunity to sell home-made food from their home kitchens and earn their livelihood.
She said, “We are in business for more than one year and serve 800 customers of offices, hostels and families every day. We have customers from all walks of life including doctors, IT workers, students and families. ”
Faizan, a student of chartered accountancy said, “Now we can enjoy home-cooked hygienic and economical food at our doorsteps on just a phone call. ” Samar, a student of university, said eating home-cooked food was usually much cheaper than eating at a restaurant or buying from the market
