Hot, dry weather conditions to persist in most parts of country: PMD

ISLAMABAD: The weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

However, light rain-thunderstorm is expected at few places in Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The synoptic situation indicated prevalence of continental air over most part of the country. A shallow westerly trough was persisting over extreme north of Pakistan.

Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of Punjab, khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan during the next 24 hours and there were no chances of any significant rain.

The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Turbat, Sibbi 42 C, Bhakkar 41 C and Noorpurthal 40 C.
