ISLAMABAD: Hot and dry weather will continue to persist in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours with no chances of any significant rain, said Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Wednesday.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air was prevailing over most part of the country. A shallow westerly trough was persisting over extreme north of Pakistan.
Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan during the next 24 hours.
However, light rain-thunderstorm is expected at a few places in Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Noorpurthal, Bhakkar 41 C, Rahim Yar Khan and Lasbella 40 C.
