Ishaq Dar’s plea for exemption from appearance rejected

ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court adjourned the hearing of a case regarding the assets beyond the known sources of income against Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar till midday on Monday.

The federal minister appeared before the court of judge Muhammed Bashir and requested the exemption from the personal appearance. However, his plea was turned down.

The judge adjourned the hearing till noon today as the lawyer of the federal minister failed to appear before the court allowing him time to show up.

Right after some minutes of appearance, the finance minister departed from the courtroom.

Strict security arrangements by police and the FC force were put in place at Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) on this occasion.
