Islamabad police recover weapons during search operation

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police along with other security agencies conducted search operation in Tarnol area and nabbed two suspect besides recovery of cache of weapons a police spokesman said on Wednesday.

The officials of Islamabad Police led by SP (Saddar) Hassam bin Iqbal, personnel of Pak Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operation in various areas of Tarnol.

During this search operation, two suspects were nabbed while four 12 bore guns along with 68 rounds, three 222 rifles along with 118 rounds, four 30 bore pistols along with 103 rounds, two SMG guns along with 13 rounds, one M 16 gun and one 32 bore pistol along with six rounds were recovered.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiani has said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure security. He has also directed all officers to continue it on daily basis.

Sajid Kiani has appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
