MD PTDC calls on Korean vice minister

ISLAMABAD:Managing Director Pakistan Tourism (PTDC) Ch. Abdul Ghafoor Khan called on Korean Senior Vice- Minister for Culture and Tourism Na Jongmin during his four-day visit to Korea.

During meeting, MD PTDC said that Pakistan is completely safe destination for tourists, where they can move all around safely throughout the country without any fear or hesitation. He informed the minister that Pakistan is beautiful country and offers number of tourism including adventure, nature, beach, deserts cuisine and anyone name it and we have it, said a press release issued here on Tuesday.

He said that Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation is ready to provide all assistance to the investors of Korea in the tourism sector of Pakistan.

He added that there are no direct flights between Pakistan and Korea that is also causing low tourist traffic between the two countries.

Another factor which contributed the negative perception about Pakistan is the travel advisories and negative propaganda portrayed by the western media, whereas the situation is on the contrary.

Mr. Na Jongmin said that he knew about the beauty and tourist attractions of Pakistan and he is fond to visit Pakistan.

Korean people keep special affections for Pakistani due to the reason that in 1960s when great drought and epidemic diseases hit Korea, Pakistan supported them a lot, which is still remembered.
