Murree attracts a large number of tourists

ISLAMABAD:Murree attracted a large number of tourists from across the country to enjoy winter season with their family and friends. Approximately 0.6 million tourists thronged this beautiful place so far said Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Managing Director Abdul Ghafoor.

For the residents of the twin cities Rawalpindi-Islamabad, Murree’s becomes favourite place especially on weekends, he said.

Tourists resorts including Bhurban, New Murree, Kashmir Point, Pindi Point, Mall Road and Ayubia remain packed with visitors these days, he said.

He said hundreds of people enjoy the chairlift at Pindi Point to look beautiful views from the top.

He said these days all restaurants were packed with tourists as businessmen and shopkeepers from hill resorts were happy to see increased business activity.

“I am enjoying the weather here,” said a visitor, Faisal Ahmed, “We are spending good time with family and the children are especially happy”, he said.

Another visitor Munir Ahmed said, “Murree has enjoyable entertainment facilities, he lauded the civic body for construction of numerous attractive picnic spots, he said the local administration should develop more recreational facilities to attract visitors”, he added.
