NAB spends Rs 54,891,992 on advertisements: Senate told

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid on Thursday informed the Senate that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had spent a sum of Rs 54,891,992 and Rs 31,908,125 on advertisements and seminars and awareness campaigns respectively since July 2013.

Replying to a question during Question Hour, the minister said payments were made from the annual allocated budget.

Giving the details of amount spent on advertisement, the minister said NAB HQ Islamabad spent Rs.15,001,388, NAB Rawalpindi Rs 4,350,235, NAB Lahore Rs 14,975, 873, NAB Multan Rs 4,994,739, NAB Karachi Rs 1,609,145, NAB Sukkur Rs 4,529,538, NAB KPK Rs 1,779,464 and NAB Balochistan Rs 1,401,779.

Similarly, NAB Islamabad spent Rs 5,536,602 on seminars, workshops and awareness campaigns, NAB Rawalpindi Rs 6,165,891, NAB Lahore Rs 8,096,273, NAB Multan Rs 2,948,775, NAB Karachi Rs 858,266, NAB Sukkur Rs 2,150,662, NAB KPK Rs 4,347,788 and NAB Balochistan Rs 1,803,778.
