ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali Monday said former prime minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif had struggled for restoration of independent of judiciary.
Nawaz Sharif always worked for the supremacy of law and constitution, he said while talking to a
private news channel.
Despite reservations about the joint investigation team report, he said, Nawaz Sharif implemented the orders of the apex court regarding his disqualification for having an ‘Iqama’. “No charges of corruption were proved against him, “ he added. Abid Sher Ali said Nawaz Sharif and his family presented themselves before the courts for accountability.
To a question, he said, “No person could remove Nawaz Sharif as he holds the power of vote in this country.” To another question, Abid Sher Ali said accountability process should be done for every person on equality basis.
