ISLAMABAD: National Highway Authority (NHA) plans to build a 73 kilometre link highway connecting Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (LSM) to Narang Mandi in District Sheikhupura and Narowal.
An official of NHA told reporter that the highway would have four lanes and link provide a link to remote areas to motorway network.
It is worth a mention that work on Lahore-Sialkot Motorway project is in full swing.The project being built on build-operate-transfer basis would cost of Rs45.4bn.
The motorway project would help link remote areas with big cities and reduce the distance between Sialkot and Lahore. The mega project would not only ensure fast inter-city travel but also provide economic boom as well as create employment opportunities in the region, he said.
