ISLAMABAD: National Highway Authority is working on plan for construction of Karachi-Uthal-Basima Road project.
An official of NHA told reporter on Wednesday that most of its sections including 22 km Karachi—Hub section, 98 km Hub-Uthal section, 55 km Uthal-Bela section,55 km Bela-Kararo section, 50 km Kararo-Sonaro section,45 km and 45 km Wadh—Khuzdar section had been already been constructed while 45 km Sonaro—Wadh was at procurement stage.
Its 130 km Khuzdar-Basima section forms part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The project,he said, would connect South West and Central west part of Sindh through Khuzdar-Basima section of CPEC Corridor.
He said on its completion, flow of traffic of Karachi generating from port to upcountry and Afghanistan would be reduced after completion of said road.
