Nisar urges govt to set up fund for Rohingya Muslims

ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, on Wednesday criticised the government for its silence over the issues of drone attacks and Rohingya Muslims.

Nisar suggested the government to establish fund for Rohingya Muslims and urged lawmakers to personally raise money for the relief and rehabilitation of refugees.

“Only condemnation resolutions are not enough, but both the government and opposition must speak with one voice for this issue,” he said, and lamented international community’s silence over the tragedy.

“This issue is shameful for the world. The international community is silent on such atrocities and bloodshed of Muslim,” he said.

Nisar also suggested that a parliamentary committee should be formed to visit Bangladesh.

“Pakistan’s Parliament and each and every child of the country is concerned to the issue, hence the politicians of Pakistan should not stay silent.”
