No corruption proved against Nawaz Sharif: Mushahidullah

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Climate Change Senator Mushahidullah Khan on Friday maintained that not a single allegation of corruption was proven against former prime minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif in Panama papers case.

In an interview with a private news channel, he said Mohammad Nawaz Sharif presented himself before the courts and always accepted the court decisions.

To a question he said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) wanted that its member should become opposition leader in the National Assembly but it was just a dream and it was not an easy job.

He said PTI wanted to get the support of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) while forgetting the allegations that it was levelling against the party in the past.

“Imran Khan will be exposed before the public for his lies,” he added.

He was of the view that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was the most popular leader of the country and he was head of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

The PML-N would contest general elections with the support of the masses, he added.
