ISLAMABAD: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan on Tuesday said that Pakistan and Turkey were enjoying very strong political, cultural, social and religious relations.
Addressing Turkish Council of Higher Education International Scholarship programme send-off ceremony in honour of faculty members and students of University of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK), the President congratulated recipient of scholarships and said that all of the students were now envoys of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
He said that education diplomacy was very crucial for strengthening the bilateral relations of two brotherly countries.
He termed Muzafarabad mini Turkey due to village established by Turkish architect in AJK after earthquake. He said that Pak-Turkey relations were not only confined to few fields but in all fields life Turkey supported Pakistan.
He said, “I am great admirer of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.”
He said President Tayyip Erdogan was hope for the whole Muslim Ummah.
He said that Turkish President always extended his support to people of Kashmir and other Muslim nations.
He said that knowledge was the key to development, adding it was really great initiative to establish Turkish language learning institute in AJK.
He paid glowing tribute to the Ambassador of Turkey to Pakistan Salik Babur Girgin for his tremendous efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
He also lauded efforts of Chairman Higher Education Commission and Vice Chancellor University of AJK.
Ambassador of Turkey to Pakistan said that it was his privilege to attend the send-off ceremony, saying that Turkey and Pakistan were celebrating their relations which were established by their forefathers.
He said that people of Pakistan and AJK have a special place in their hearts and those Pakistanis who will visit Turkey would feel at home.
He lauded efforts of President AJK for the education sector.
Chairman HEC Prof. Dr.Mukhtar Ahmed, Vice Chancellor University of AJK Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kaleem Abbasi, scholars, and faculty members of University of AJK were also present on the occasion.
