BEIJING: As many as 10 Pakistani enterprises participated as an important guests in the six-day Beijing International Trade Fair (South Asia Fair) held in Beijing on Wednesday.
The trade fair was initiated by Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau (BMCB) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).
On the occasion, a batch of enterprises from South Asia, including Pakistan, expressed their willingness to deepen trade ties with Beijing enterprises and chambers of commerce.
The fair focused on the three areas of health care, smart equipment and new energy, introducing advantages of bilateral products and industries, promoting trade cooperation between Beijing and South Asian countries.
At the opening ceremony, BMCB and ICBC signed a cross-border cooperation agreement.
According to the agreement, ICBC will constantly support foreign investment, inclusive finance and other key areas of investment and financing, and provide a full range of financial services for bilateral enterprises.
At the same time, several Chinese and Pakistani enterprises have also reached to the preliminary cooperation intentions and signed MOU in the form of cloud signing ceremony.
