PCRET can perform better after getting autonomous status: NA Committee

ISLAMABAD: Sub Committee of National Assembly Standing Committee on Science and Technology Tuesday noted that Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technologies (PCRET) can perform better after getting autonomous status.

The meeting was held at Parliament House under the Chairmanship of Member National Assembly, Aftab Shahban Mirani.

The meeting was arranged mainly to discuss “The Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technologies Bill 2016”.

The members of sub-committee discussed the effects of making PCRET an autonomous body on the salaries and promotions of its employees.

While Convener of the meeting, Aftab Mirani directed the concerned authorities that there should be no effect on salaries and promotions of the employees while developing rules for PCRET autonomy.

The meeting was attended by MNAs including Engineer Usman Khan Tarkai, Lal Chand Malhi and Mehboob Alam.
