ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) has invited tenders from bidders for the construction of multi-storey apartments in Sector I-12.
A PHA official told reporter that sealed bids are invited from eligible firms licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and with specialization in the appropriate category for the works and meeting the minimum qualification criteria as prescribed in the bidding documents.
“Bidders may obtain further information and bidding documents from the Office of Deputy Director at Shaheed-e-Millat Secretariat,” he said.
He said a complete set of bidding documents including drawings can be purchased by an interested bidder on submission of a written application to the Director (Engineering) or Deputy Director (Engg-V), PHAF along with copy of valid registration certificate with Pakistan Engineering Council and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs 10,000.
“The tender shall be issued only to the authorized representative of the firm having legal Authority Letter or Power of Attorney and is further required to submit their application on letter head,” he said.
The official said bids must be submitted on specified date and time and will be opened on the same day at the time mentioned above by the bid opening committee in the committee room of PHA-F located at Ground Floor, Shaheed-e-Millat Secretariat in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend at the same address.
“Incomplete, conditional and bids without required bid security shall not be considered,” he said and added no bidding document would be sold on the date fixed for opening of tenders.
He said personal canvassing, recommendation or unauthorized practices for getting the contract, will also disqualify the bidders.
He said in case of any unforeseen reasons, public holiday, unrest or force majeure on the bid submission or opening date, the bid would be opened on the next working day at the same place and time.
“PHA Foundation reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or proposals at any time prior to the acceptance of a bid in accordance with Rule 33 of PPRA,” he said.
