PM, Speaker NA, Chairman Senate submit asset details with ECP

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, leader of opposition in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar have submitted details of their assets for fiscal year 2016-17 with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

According to a press release issued by the ECP, other key parliamentarians who have submitted their details so far include Imran Khan, Faryal Talpur, Farhatullah Babar, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob, Jahangir Tarin, Murad Saeed, Ahmed Ali, Syed Naveed Qamar Shah, Maulana Muhamamd Khan Sherani, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Shereen Mazari, Mariyum Aurangzeb, Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob Nasir, Mushahid Hussain Syed, Pervaiz Rasheed, Raja Zafar ul Haq, Akram Khan Durrani, Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Sirajul Haq, Rehman Malik, Sherry Rehman, Fazal ur Rehman, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Pervaiz Elahi, Ahsan Iqbal, Zahid Hamid, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Those who are yet to submit their asset details include Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Balochistan Sana Ullah Zehri, Foreign Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif, Daniyal Aziz, Hamza Shahbaz, Sardar Muhamamd Owais Leghari, Ghulam Rabbani Khar, Mohammad Ejaz ul Haq, Fehmida Mirza, Dr Farooq Sattar, Arif Alvi, Tehmina Doltana, Ayesha Gulalai, Kamil Ali Agha, Etezaz Ahsan and Farooq H, Naik.

Similarly, Azam Khan Swati, Aftab Ahmed Sherpao, Shehryar Khan Afridi, Sardar Mohammad Yusuf, Captain ® Mohammad Safdar, Asad Umar, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Sheikh Rasheed, Talal Chaudhry, and Abid Sher Ali also have not submitted their details of assets for the fiscal year 2016-17.

The ECP warned that the membership of all those parliamentarians who would fail to submit their asset details by October 15 would be suspended and their names would be published.

Letters would also be written to secretaries of all assemblies to stop all such defaulters from attending assembly meetings and all their perks and privileges would also be suspended.
