PML-N govt gives priority to energy sector: Qaiser Sheikh

ISLAMABAD: Member National Assembly and Chairman Standing Committee for Finance in NA, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh on Tuesday said that 10,000 megawatt electricity was added in the national grid due to efforts of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), government.

The PML-N government after coming into power had given priority to the energy sector, he said while talking to PTV.

The duration of loadshedding had been reduced from 18-hours to 4-hours, he said.

The power supply was being provided to industrial sector without any interruption, he said.

The growth rate had reached 5.3 per cent which would be increased to over 6 percent in the next financial year, he said.

To a question he said that Pakistan’s economy was improving day by day due to the policies of PML-N government.

To another question he said the problem of loadshedding would end soon.
