ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Youth Affairs Program (PMYA) has planned to launch “Skills Development project” for youth with technical education.
According to an official, 150,000 prospective trainees were planned to receive technical and vocational training in demand driven trades over a period of next two years.
He said 50 percent of these trainings will focus on high–end labor sectors. He said 50 percent of vocational trainings would be focused in less privileged areas like Balochistan and FATA.
He said 75 percent of employment opportunities would be ensured through offering jobs after training.
“There was dire need of imparting productive skills and developing entrepreneurship culture especially for youth through Skills Development and Startup Pakistan initiatives”, he said. “This project would encourage youth to become part of technical education”, official said.
