PPP-PML-N nexus just to protect corruption money: Dar

ISLAMABAD:Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Usman Dar Tuesday said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party nexus was to protect corruption money.

The PML-N last government had created 157 billion deficit in the gas sector, he stated while talking to a private news channel.

The last governments of PPP and PML-N had borrowed over 30,000 billion loans during their tenures, he said. He said that PTV, Pakistan Steel Mills, Pakistan International Airlines, and Railways had shown downward trend during the tenures of PML-N. He said that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government, after coming into power, had set the targets of economy besides taking measures to improve the institutions.

In reply to a question about approaching IMF, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan, first approached to the friendly nations for the purpose of seeking financial assistance. He said that later, due to bad economy left by the last governments, the PTI chief Imran Khan had to seek help from IMF. He said that the step was taken in the larger interest of the people of Pakistan. He said that the government had expressed flexibility for the purpose of running the house of the parliament smoothly.

To a question he said that PTI government was making efforts to flush out corruption. He said that import graph had been plummeting while the exports had shown upward trend. The remittances had been rising, he said.

To another question Usman Dar said that the opposition leader, who holds number of corruption cases, was roaming in the city freely. This is strange that those plundered the money and destroyed the economy of the country are enjoying the life here. He said that the elements looted the national money would not be spared at any cost.
