ISLAMABAD: Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in upper areas of the country during next 24 hours while hot and dry weather to grip other parts of the country.
Rainfall is likely at Malakand, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. However, a weak westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country, an official of Met office told reporter.
In last 24 hours weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Thursday were Lasbela 44øC, Sibbi, Turbat 43øC, Pasni, SH Benazirabad 42 øC. Hyderbad 42øC, Faisalabad 39øC, Multan, Lahore, Peshawar 38øC, Karachi 36øC, Muzaffarabad, Islamabad 35øC, Dir, Chitral 33øC, Gilgit 32øC, Quetta 29øC, Skardu 26øC and Murree 25øC.
