ISLAMABAD: Rotary Club of Islamabad (Metropolitan) on Monday organized an Anti-polio Health Camp at Mera Jafar in collaboration with Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Capital Development Authority (CDA) / Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI).
According to a press release, Mayor of Islamabad, Sheikh Ansar Aziz, inaugurated the health camp and assured those present of his commitment to ending polio.
Barrister Adil Jamal, President Rotary Club of Islamabad (Metropolitan), presented the club flag to the Mayor and Past President Tayyaba Gul briefed him about Rotary’s ongoing polio campaign.
Anti-polio vaccine was administered to a large number of local children by health workers.
Rotary is committed to continue its efforts for eradicating polio from Pakistan through immunization drives, community mobilization and improved monitoring efforts.
