ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee against US dollar depreciated by 08 paisas in the interbank trading on Wednesday to close at Rs171.12 against the previous day’s closing of Rs171.04.
According to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 170.8 and Rs 172.8 respectively.
Similarly, the price of euro which was traded at Rs197.69, appreciated by 01 paisa as compared to its last closing of Rs Rs197.6841, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.50, whereas an increase of 85 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs233.10 as compared to its last closing of Rs 232.25.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 02 paisas each to close at Rs46.59 and Rs 45.62 respectively.
