SC dismisses Mushtaq Raisa Ahmad Raisani’s bail plea in mega corruption case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed bail plea application filed by former Secretary Finance Balochistan Mushtaq Ahmed Rasani involved in mega corruption case.

It is to mention that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recovered Rs 730 million cash from Mushtaq Raisani’s residence.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed and comprising Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel heard the case filed by Mushtaq Raisani.

During hearing of the case, the counsel for accused Mushatq Raisani informed the court that his client’s half body are paralyses and pleaded the court to accept his client’s bail plea.

Justice Maqbool Baqar remarked it seems that the accused desire an expensive treatment.

Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel remarked that loss of billions of rupees earned through corruption can result in such mental state.

The court after hearing arguments dismissed bail plea and disposed of the case.
