ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Friday summoned Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to record his statement in a case regarding alleged illegal appointment of chairman Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).
The three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed heard the case.
Justice Gulzar Ahmad questioned inquiry committe performance and asked why inquiry against appointment of Chairman FPSC was not completed despite passing of four years.
He asked how much time would be required for filing reference in NAB. Justice Dost Mohammad observed that some points of the NAB ordinance could be revised.
The court summoned Chairman NAB to appear before the court. On which the Deputy Prosecutor NAB prayed the court to summon Prosecutor General NAB instead of chairman.
The court rejected the plea and adjourned hearing of the case for one week.
