ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday suspended the Sindh High Court (SHC) order in Aisha Bawany College case and issued a notice to the Aisha Bawany Trust.
The apex court bench comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah also directed the Sindh Government to pay Rs 6 million to the Aisha Bawany Trust.
The Advocate General Sindh informed the court that the provincial government had been running the Aisha Bawani College since 1972 and the Trust had no moral ground to demand rent. The land was not owned by the Trust as it was leased land, he added.
