Six outlaws held; stolen bike and weapons recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested six outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered stolen bike and weapons from them, a police spokesman said.

He said that Station House Officer of Golra police station Inspector Tanveer Abbassi arrested a bike thief identified as Ibrahim and recovered a stolen bike (Honda 125, ALQ-043) from him. During preliminary investigation, he has confessed his involvement in several bike theft cases and police is hopeful for more recovery from them.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Shahid Asghar from Tarnol police arrested an accused Syed Hassan and recovered repeater along with ammunition from him.

ASI Zaheer Ahmed from Sabzi Mandi police arrested Talat for having 12 bore gun while Sub-Inspector Ishtiaq Hssan arrested a thief identified as Boota Masih.

Sub-Inspector Mohammad Ashraf from Khana police station arrested 12 bore gun along with 24 cartridges from him. ASI Tariq Chohan from Niolre police arrested Khurram Shehzad and recovered 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from him.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from him. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to intensify efforts against criminals and ensure effective policing measures in the city.
