ISLAMABAD: The owners of six wedding halls located in G-11 Sector of the Federal Capital were imposed fine amounting to Rs.110,000 million for violation of hygiene and sanitation rules.
According to a spokesman of ICT here on Sunday, Assistant Commissioner (Sadar) Islamabad, Rabia Aurangzeb, conducted surprise inspection of these wedding halls and imposed fines on their owners.
The wedding halls fined for food hygiene offences include Taj wedding hall, Rs. 30,000, Paragon wedding hall, Rs. 30,000, Zakia wedding hall, Rs. 10,000, Millennium wedding hall, Rs. 10,000, Aura-grand wedding hall, Rs. 10,000 and Wedding hall, Rs. 20,000.
The Assistant Commissioner directed the owners of wedding halls to improve the hygienic and sanitary conditions of their kitchens immediately failing which stern action would be taken against the violators. The food business owners were directed to ensure regular vaccination of their workers and maintain the quality and standard of food being served at the food outlets.
