Zafar ul Haq felicitates Dr Maliha on winning Human Rights Council membership

ISLAMABAD:Leader of the House in Senate Raja Mohammad Zafar-ul-Haq Tuesday felicitated Pakistan’s permanent representative in United Nations Dr Maliha Lodhi on winning the membership of UN Human Rights Council for the fourth time.

In his message, he appreciated the efforts of federal government, foreign ministry and especially Dr Maliha Lodhi for the historic success.

He said Pakistan needed only 97 votes for becoming the member of United Nation Human Rights Council, however, the country got 151 votes. Pakistan would now be able to raise voice in favour of the Muslims of Kashmir, Palestine and Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar more vigorously.
