ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) secretary general Dr Mohammad Amjad Friday said that former President Asif Ali Zaradri just skipped important questions posed at him by the Chairman APML General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
General Musharraf asked him some pertinent and serious questions that he did not replied and whatever he said was mere rhetoric, Dr Amjad said while responding to a press conference by Asif Ali Zardari in Kamalia.
“Zardari just want to grab power that he did earlier by producing a fake will document and deceiving peoples party workers. Had there been impartial and transparent investigations in Benazir Bhutto murder case, Zaradri cannot escape the consequence himself,” Dr Amjad added.
Regarding Zaradari’s appeal at Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench, Dr Amjad said that Zardari only did to pacify peoples party workers and it is just an eye-wash. Zardari seeking no justice and just want to linger on with this case to use for political benefits.
Appeal against General Musharraf is also filed for the same purpose, Dr Amjad said. It is to mention here that Asif Ali Zardari in press conference at Kamalia while responding to the questions posed at him by the reporters only suffice to say that allegations are part of politics.
Dr Amjad said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a leader of international caliber. Her assassination incurred great loss not only to her children but to the Pakistani nation as well. Zardari is a greedy person and he has nothing to do with the justice in this case. For five years he remained President of Pakistan and had he been serious for the outcome of this case, he could have done many things that he did not.
Alleging all wrongs against General Musharraf, Zardari is just playing politics to cover up his misdeeds Now he is alleging that Benazir Bhutto was not given proper security by Pervez Musharraf. He could have raised this issue before the court when he was running a government.
Dr Amjad said that People’s Party Co-Chairman is just want to linger on with this case and Pervez Musharraf has no link with this matter whatsoever.
