Sam, Birtan clinch doubles title of ITF World J5 Junior Tennis C’ships

ISLAMABAD: Sam Kydd Baumgartner of Switzerland and Birtan Duran of Turkey won the Boy’s Doubles final of the PTF President ITF World J5 Junior Tennis Championships 2021 here at PTF Complex on Friday.

They beat Dmitry Dolzhenkov of Russian and Artiom Dorofeev of France by 6-4, 6-2.

Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, Deputy Mayor Islamabad, visited PTF Complex along with Mansoor Ahmed Deputy DG Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) to witness the matches, and was extremely happy with the arrangements and organization of the events.

He also paid compliments to the PTF President and his team for hosting the foreign players.

In the Girl’s Doubles final, Iman Khan (GBR), Alaia Rubio Perez (GBR) beat Mariia Masiianskaia (RUS), Margarita Okhendovskaya (UKR) 4-6, 6-4 (11-9).

In Boy’s Singles semifinals, Sam Kydd Baumgartner (SUI) beat Andrey Kozlov (RUS) 6-2, 6-2; Birtan Duran (TUR) beat Dmitry Dolzhenkov (RUS) 7-5, 6-3.

In Girl’s Singles semifinals, Iman Khan (GBR) beat Maria Pukhina (RUS) 6-3, 3-6, 6-3; Mariia Masiianskaia (RUS) beat Ines Faltinger (AUT) 6-7(2), 6-2, 6-2.
