Agriculture ruined in Sindh, farmers face economic distress: Shah Mehmood

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the flawed policies of rulers have ruined agriculture sector in Sindh province and local farmers are facing a severe economic crisis.

According to details, Qureshi reached Umerkot on a four-day visit on Tuesday where a large number of people, party activists and Ghousia Jamaat disciples gave him a warm welcome.

Talking to media, he said that the ruling PPP has never done anything good for Sindh and its people in any of its term. He said agriculture has gone in shambles and now cotton growers are facing a worsened exploitation as they are not getting fair price for their produce.

He saluted the brave people of Umerkot, saying the regime is pressing them hard due to their support to the PTI. He said now their crop water has also been stopped and they are being booked in false cases, but instead of being brow-beaten they are bravely facing these atrocities of the PPP government. He said everything is in the control of Allah, the Almighty, and their enemies would Inshallah soon be disgraced.

He also harshly criticized the PML-N ministers and said that they have always attacked the national institutions which is the main reason of their own downfall. He said time for these corrupt rulers is over now and a positive change has already been seen by the masses.

He said that the next era of the PTI and we would give people justice, equity, respect, education, healthcare and jobs. He said the country would be put on the path of progress and prosperity in the coming government of PTI.

On the other hand, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi paid visits to different localities of Umerkot and invited people to attend the PTI rally scheduled on October 20.
