KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday said Karachi is the capital of Sindh and it is very dear to Pakistan Peoples Party, which is doing its best for the beautification of the city.
“Karachi is our capital. We have completed many infrastructure projects. On-going ones will be completed up to March 2018. For upgradation and beautification of the city more schemes were in pipeline,” assured the Chief Minister while speaking at an interactive meeting with the members of Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
He was accompanied by his cabinet members including Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Manzoor Wasan, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Jam Khan Shoro and Mukesh Chawla.
Prominent on KCCI side were President Shamim Ahmed Firpo, leader of Business Group in Karachi Chamber and former president Siraj Kassam Teli, other former presidents Mohammad Zubair Motiwala, A.Q.Khalil and Anjum Nisar.
The Chief Minister said his government would extend full cooperation and support to the business community for the prosperity of Sindh and of the country.
He gave account of his efforts to safeguard the interest of the province as guaranteed in the constitution.
Syed Murad Ali Shah also re-affirmed that wanted to work with the City Government for the upgradation of the city and for the betterment of the citizen.
Sindh Minister for Local Government Jam Khan Shoro and Sindh Minister for Industries Manzoor Wasan highlighted the initiatives taken and future plans of their departments for the infrastructure development and industrial growth in the province especially in Karachi.
Earlier, KCCI President Shamim Ahmed Firpo, Siraj Kassam Teli, Mohammad Zubair Motiwala briefed the Chief Minister and the Ministers about the issues facing trade and industry.
