Glowing tributes paid to Alig Mohsanin at Sir Syed University

KARACHI: Glowing tributes were paid to Alig Mohsanin that is Khawaja Abdul Waheed, Brigadier Qamar ul Hasan, Younus Shah

alias Piyarey Mian, General Ghulam Umar, Brigadier Sajjad Hussain, Engr. Z. A. Nizami, Engr. Muammad Zakir Ali Khan, Abul Lais Siddiqui, Syed Nonehal Zaidi, Qamar uz Zaman and Professor A. T. Khan.

The tributes were paid to them in a ceremony held by Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA) at Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) here, said a statement on Monday.

Purpose of the event was to make people aware of the outstanding work and services of the mohsanins to motivate youth to follow them.

Speaking on the occasion, Chancellor SSUET Jawaid Anwar said, in pursuit of our mohsanin we should do some exemplary work for the new generation.

He said, today time demands again to adopt the education system of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan that based on tolerance, patience and coexistence. The system focused on grooming and character building of the youth who are the future of the country, he added.

Salim uz Zaman said about Qamar uz Zaman that his services were remarkable and unforgettable.

Mohsin Khan, Sameera Hafeez, Tafuzzal Haider and Kamran Wahab also spoke on the occasion about the qualities and services of their fathers.

Presenting vote of thanks General Secretary AMUOBA Mohammad Arshad Khan said, it is easy to quote examples instead of becoming a role model itself.
