KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Mohammad Zubair on Tuesday said that the travel advisory for Pakistan needed to be revisited, in wake of the improvement in law and order situation in the country.
He said this while addressing a program about the tournament at the Sindh Governor’s House here, said a statement. He said that the Nishan-e-Haider Hockey Tournament 2017 will appear as a significant event for promotion of national game “Hockey”.
The Governor said that the participation of the international hockey players in the Nishan-e-Haider Hockey Tournament 2017, will
provide an opportunity to the local players to learn from them and further improve their professional skills.
He said that the event will help promote sports activities and show a peaceful and positive image of Karachi to the world.
President Pakistan Hockey Federation, Brig (retd), Mohammad Khalid S. Khokar, General Secretary PHF Shahbaz Ahmed, vice president Tariq Huda, former hockey players Hassan Sardar, Islahuddin, Hanif Khan, Samiullah, Waseem Feroze, Arshad Siddiqi, Qamar Ibrahim, Jahangir Butt and international hockey players from Argentina and Australia attended the event.
The Sindh Governor also met with the international hockey players from Argentina and Australia and welcomed them to Pakistan.
